Alway's Running

Always running. Trying to stay one step ahead. One foot at a time, I need to hurry. It's breathing down my neck. I feel it catching up to me. Afraid to look back. Afraid of what I may find. Can't stop. Cold tendrils of fear grip me. Life is throwing me curves trying to slow me down. Faster I must go. Gain more speed-footsteps behind me. Ringing in my ear. Another day, another speed-bump. I can't afford to sleep. Not sure what I'm running from...is it you, is it me, is it heartbreak? Unknown but the feeling to move consumes me. Panther in a cage, needing an out-a release. Restless, can't stop. Must go.
